Golden Scapolite - Tanzania

Golden Scapolite from Tanzania- this material facets beautiful gemstones. Tanzanian scapolite is particularly sought after for its vibrant color saturation

The refractive index (RI) of scapolite ranges from 1.540 to 1.579, depending on its composition and specific variety. This RI is moderate, which allows scapolite to exhibit a nice level of brilliance and light performance when properly faceted. The relatively low RI also means it is easier to polish for beginner cutters compared to gemstones with higher RIs.
