Golden Scapolite - Tanzania

Golden Scapolite from Tanzania- this material facets beautiful gemstones.

For cutters, scapolite is noticeably more cooperative than quartz. It takes a cleaner, faster polish without the orange-peel issues quartz is infamous for, it doesn’t have the twinning that causes uneven hardness across facets, and it handles heat more predictably so you’re far less likely to fight drag lines or stress cracks during cutting

3 pieces / 16.108 grams / 80.54 carats / 26.8 carats average / clean save for the occasional issue to trim
